Over ten years ago, we drove to this quiet, friendly neighbourhood and walked into a little suburban resort. The house needed some TLC that was hugged by the start of an amazing garden. We sit out by the pool in the morning and just take in the tranquillity of our little oasis to clear our minds to start our day. But oh, the fun our home encourages you to indulge in, take your pick; lazing on your lilo in the pool (my personal fav), sipping champagne in the spa (is it ok to have two personel favs?), sitting around the outdoor dining table having a bbq at any time of the day or night. Listening to our grandchildren squealling with pure joy as they jump in and out of the pool. Being anywhere in our garden just makes us smile. Our kitchen draws everyone in and, at times, encourages us to pick up wooden spoons to use as microphones, turn up the music and makes us all sing up a storm… all while kids are sleeping soundly in the bedroom zone.
But then, when you need it, this home is so tranquil, calming and quiet. Sitting downstairs and looking out at the garden just makes you exhale, which is a great lunch time escape for me as I work from home. I can walk away from my office, which looks out on our back garden and have a completely different view, feeling like I have gone out somewhere for my lunch break.
Now, as all our children have flown the coup and we have lovingly renovated our heart, new adventures are calling us. New memories need to be made here and for our home to become the heart for the next family to call theirs.”
